Story
Clare Beauchamp Randall, a World War II nurse, mysteriously travels back in time to 1743 Scotland. There she meets a brave Highland warrior and is drawn into an epic rebellion.. Moore (the developer of the TV series), his crew decided to keep the Gaelic words instead of translating them into English. This maintains the first person narrative by showing Clare’s inability to understand Gaelic.

This idea was suggested by producer David Brown, who said he had seen something similar in Skin Deep (1998), a foreign alternative film starring actor and singer Gustavo Goular. ; An American term that did not come into use until the 19th century. The theme song changes from season to season to reflect what is happening in the storyline. In the first half of Season 2 (which takes place in France), some of the texts are in French.

In the second half of Season 2 (which is mostly about preparing for war), a militaristic drum is added to the opening song. During Season 3, tribal drums were added as much of the season is set in the West Indies. Bluegrass fiddle and banjo are added in Season 4, plus some of the lyrics are sung in a Southern accent, as the season is mostly set in America. Outlander was much better than I expected
This is much more than just another love story. I just got hooked on the last season and was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. It’s so well written and acted that you really start to care about these characters and what happens to them. It’s also beautifully shot, everything from the cinematography to the costumes is excellent.
The overall production value of this is as good as anything on TV
I must say that the last few seasons have not been as good as the earlier ones, but they are still worth watching. If you haven’t seen this yet, do yourself a favor and go watch it ASAP!
