Originally set to air with CBS in 2020, the series was canceled just before filming began due to COVID. . Now, Netflix has picked up a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict.

This intriguing premise creates a backdrop full of possibilities for a legal procedural series.
It’s engaging, entertaining, and enjoyable – highly recommended
The show reflects this, adding a strong cast, well-crafted and delivered dialogue, and an interesting plot, and it moves along at a good pace. Some of the cinematography choices are awkward, especially the shifting focus shots and some orange tints, though overall it works as expected. Mickey’s driver Izzy is often used as a plot device, but despite being obvious, it feels natural and fits the narrative.
