Then Dexter: Resurrection (2025)
Story
Miami, 1991 When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transforms from student to vengeful serial killer under the guidance of his father Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first airs. I’m a huge fan of Dexter. Dexter (seasons 1-8) is the only show I watch over and over again.
Like Harry (according to Dexter), I don’t change easily
So when Dexter: New Blood came out, at first the change in scenery, the coldness, the absence of some of my beloved actors, and the lack of humor and Latin music were a big disappointment for me. However, after watching it as a standalone series (without comparing it to the original), I was impressed. Now, with this new series, of course we’re not used to new faces in the cast. We all remember how different young Dexter, Deb, and Harry looked, even Laura Moser.
Yes, we all wish Michael C
But I think it might be unfair to judge the actors because we’re not in the shoes of the directors and producers. I think they had to take into account a lot more than just their looks. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar, and the rest of the original cast could magically play younger versions of their characters, but time just keeps moving in one direction. (Bonus: I really like Christian Slater.
I think everyone did a pretty decent job creating those big Dexter boots
He’s phenomenal as always!) So far, after watching the first episode twice, I’m loving it. Honestly, I can’t deny the fact that I’m even more excited to watch Dexter: Resurrection now that I’ve seen Dexter’s revival on ER. In short, I think this show is cool and will probably grow on me over time. If you’re a Dexter fan, go in with no expectations or judgment.
I’m sure you’ll love it!
