Seen in Graham Norton in Guest Starring: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jaylen Ngonda (2024)
A Tale of New York written by Jem Finer, starring Shane McGowan of The Pogues and Kirsty McCall. I didn’t like the beginning because I thought the backstory could have been expanded to cover the entire first season.
I can’t wait to see what else they do with it
However, as the episodes progressed and the series focused on the present, I came to appreciate it more. I like the plot as it has the potential to go in many directions.
The actors are wonderful and very good at what they do
I’m done with my review, but imdb wants me to add over 200 more characters, so let me just say this: fans of spy series will love this. After the first few episodes, the story is very clear and gets more exciting with each new episode.
This is for those who want a good thriller/spy movie/spy series that has a little heart and ends quickly
No need to waste time endlessly scrolling – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically split between work and personal life. When a mysterious coworker shows up outside of work, he begins a journey to uncover the truth behind his job. The computer terminals used by the Macro Data Refinement team do not have an escape key. This is normal for terminals in the Data General Dasher D2 series, as they appear to be. Appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers: Ben Stiller/Rose Matafeo/Brooke Colucci (2022). I can’t remember the last time I was this interested in a TV series. I was hooked from the first episode and was constantly impressed by the direction, visual effects, acting, and plot development. It’s like a cross between Black Mirror and 1984, but it could be better than both works of art. This is truly something special and I CANNOT be more excited for Season 2.
Sequel to Avatar: Put Vow (2022). The plot is unknown.. According to James Cameron, the Avatar sequels were such a massive undertaking that he divided the three scripts between the writing team of Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno. Cameron delves further explaining the story process: "I think we met for seven months and we white boarded out every scene in every film together, and I didn't assign each writer which film they were going to work on until the last day. I knew if I assigned them their scripts ahead of time, they'd tune out every time we were talking about the other movie." Followed by Avatar 4 (2029)
This series uses material from the Great Schools of Dune trilogy by Brian Herbert and Kevin J
Story
Two Harkonnen sisters fight against forces that threaten the future of humanity and found a legendary sect that would become known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Anderson. A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen, who used the voice, comes from one called “Mentats of Dune.” All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors.

Let’s be clear: the resistance to perceived "DEI politics" in this series is not just tiresome, it’s fundamentally misleading. Anyone familiar with Frank Herbert’s Dune world knows that women, and the Sisterhood in particular, have always been central to the story. This isn’t some modern “rewrite” to appease audiences—it’s baked into the very DNA of the tradition. Complaining about women in power is like criticizing sand for showing up in the desert. If that makes you uncomfortable, it’s worth considering why that might be.
Visually, it’s stunning
Let’s focus on what matters: the series itself. The art direction pays homage to the bold aesthetic of Denis Villeneuve’s films and creates a seamless visual connection to the wider Dune universe. The scope feels ambitious yet intimate, balancing grand, sweeping shots with more personal, tightly framed moments. Sure, the CGI occasionally shows its budgetary limitations, but the overall design is so sharp and thoughtful that it almost doesn’t matter. It’s not perfect, but it’s close enough to be immersive.
It’s a cerebral, slow-paced story that rewards attention without ever feeling overly indulgent
The writing, while not as philosophically dense as the core Dune saga, respects the intelligence of its audience. It doesn’t oversimplify or muddy the complexities of Herbert’s world to accommodate newcomers. Instead, it leans into the power dynamics and political intrigue that make The Sisterhood so fascinating. The last 20 minutes of the first episode in particular deliver a level of suspense and reward that captures the spirit of Dune at its finest, a suspenseful and quietly monumental part of this series is how it uses the Sisterhood to explore another dimension of the vast Dune universe. The political machinations are more prominent here, offering a fresh look at the undercurrents of power that often drive the larger story.
Trust me, it’s worth the effort
It has shades of early Game of Thrones, but with a distinctly Dune feel: less gratuitous, more thoughtful, and deeply engaged with the philosophical questions that define Herbert’s work, with excellent performances that hint at greater things to come. As for the adaptation itself, it’s clear that the filmmakers have taken great care not to compromise the integrity of Herbert’s vision. This is no watered-down reimagining—it’s a serious, ambitious continuation of the world he built. Granted, newcomers may find the dense lore and dark politics daunting, but for fans of the books or Villeneuve’s films, the nuance of Herbert’s universe is part of the appeal. If you’re new, it’s a worthy entry point, though you may have to work a little harder to keep up.

Molliendo Cafe (Ground Coffee)(uncredited)Traditional [Title Sequence Music]. It’s been a while since I’ve watched anything related to the chaotic DCEU because it got me excited about the start of a new reboot, so I absolutely despise Snyder and Warner.
Can’t wait for the next installment of this new franchise
#39;s initial attempt at the DCEU, but with James Gunn now in charge, things could be looking up. The show is currently a silly, funny, and comedic show, but it does a pretty good job of creating dramatic and emotional sequences, showcasing Gunn’s impressive storytelling skills.
Do your best, James

Her younger roommate, Anu, tries in vain to find a place in the city to be intimate with her boyfriend
Story
In Mumbai, nurse Prabha’s routine is thrown into disarray when she receives an unexpected gift from her ex-husband. Director Payal Kapadia and the cast of All We Imagine As Light reunite to share their most moving reactions from Cannes and more!
Desire, fear, regret and impassive patience are the emotions that continually alternate as the story quietly unfolds
The first Indian film to receive the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024, this film dramatizes many of the challenges faced by single women living in Mumbai and highlights their resilience. All the women here are nurses in the same hospital, but that’s where the similarities end, as each has her own particular set of problems and, one might say, solutions.
Probably the greatest asset is the script, which offers exceptionally rich and thoughtful dialogues between the characters
The amount of action in the plot feels just enough to provide a scaffolding for conversations where people have room to be unusually honest and unguarded with each other, even when they’re lying or taking a stand. The acting is uniformly excellent and rises to the level of the writing — there are no false notes, though there are a few tantalizing loose ends.
The detachment is amplified at several points where the film seems to incorporate documentary elements or certainly creates that kind of feeling
The cinematography and editing are also very good at creating a reflective, somewhat distant atmosphere that complements the quiet intensity of the characters’ interactions. I wasn’t always crazy about the music and how it was invoked, but that’s a minor gripe that many might not share.
I highly recommend “All We Imagine as Light”
I dispute another reviewer’s claim that this film was intended as “awards bait.” In my opinion, there’s too much heart and honesty in this film for it to be categorized as cynical or manipulative — certainly no more so than any other film that seeks to tell an important story in a compelling and beautiful way. And this film takes a lot of risks that I can’t imagine would be well received in increasingly sectarian and puritanical India.
