Leider verblasst Lashana Lynchs Leistung im Vergleich dazu und wirkt hölzern und einfallslos

Eddie Redmayne liefert eine faszinierende Leistung und verkörpert den titelgebenden Killer mit einer erschreckenden Präzision, die ihn sowohl furchterregend als auch anziehend macht. Redmaynes sorgfältige Herangehensweise an die Rolle erhöht die Spannung und lässt jede seiner Bewegungen kalkuliert und unvermeidlich erscheinen. Seine Fähigkeit, Charme mit Bedrohlichkeit zu mischen, sorgt dafür, dass das Publikum sowohl abgestoßen als auch fasziniert ist und die Essenz der Dualität der Figur einfängt.

Insgesamt ist der Film eine fesselnde Adaption, kämpft aber manchmal mit uneinheitlichen Darbietungen

Ihre Darstellung der entschlossenen Geheimdienstagentin fehlte an Tiefe, wirkte oft eindimensional und zu sehr auf Klischees angewiesen. In einer Serie, die reich an Nuancen und Details ist, fällt die mangelnde Komplexität ihrer Figur negativ auf. Redmaynes Brillanz allein macht den Film sehenswert, aber Lynchs Unzulänglichkeiten trüben das Erlebnis ein wenig.

Based on the chilean documentary "El Agente Topo". Remake of Salainen agentti vanhainkodissa (2020). I'm not a binge watcher, but we smashed the whole season on the first night.It's got that right mix of warm, funny, sad, deep with a story line that keeps you plugging away.Ted Danson of course is great, but Stephanie Beatriz (Diaz in '99) is awesome and her character is somebody you'd want to spend all your time with.It's set in San Francisco which of course helps with my rating but above all, whilst it is very sad at times, it is a comedy and it gives you hope for the future as we all get a little older.A solid eight out of ten for me, one for all ages and who knows, hopefully another season.

Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka

the Penguin, makes a play to seize the reins of the crime world in Gotham.. Except for the bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in "The Penguin." In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: Where the heck was Batman?. Colin Farrell fought hard to have his version of The Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022) but was unsuccessful.

For his own series however, the character is depicted as an occasional tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.. An umbrella drops and the logo changes to the Warner Bros logo.. Featured in The Graham Norton Show: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).

So, the first episode is done and it was excellent

I've never seen Farell so invested in a character. I mean yes, he's wearing a fat suit but you'd never know it. His attitude, body language, voice all make you submerge into the character and only see Penguin.

This a New York mobster, a wise guy

It has no relation to any of the other live TV penguins, Burgess Meredith or Robin Lord Taylor. He's a Scorsese mobster but without the florid language.The plot is simple, similar to Lord Taylors Penguin in the CW's Gotham. The Penguin is a middle man in a mob organization.

Highly entertaining and very much recommended

Up until now he's been doing his time, slowly moving up in the mob and then, with the effects of the Riddler blowing up the city sea wall and the death of his boss in that movie, he sees a chance to move up in the world. Now begins the game of cross, double cross and, I suppose, triple cross.
